If you are on Amazon, then you have the Internet. If you have the Internet you can go to Wikipedia and getting the same if not better info than this book provides.The editing on this book is just plain terrible. On top of several grammatical errors, this book has several photos that captioned wrong. The worst is where the caption describes a Glock in a holster and the picture is of a Sig handgun.In several photos, training guns are shown but not recognized as such in the captions. Simple things to have labeled correctly, but for which the book's creators decided wasn't worth their time.I purchased this at a local book store for much less than the price on Amazon and I feel I overpaid.I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere.
Chris McNab's "Glock: The World's Handgun" is a good reference of Glock's history, and covers a brief history of each model throughout the generations. While it offers good insight and some fascinating pictures, the book is not without flaws. For example, a photo of a police officer carrying a Sig Sauer pistol labeled "A Canadian policeman with his holstered Glock" and later shows a photo of a 33-round extended 9mm magazine citing it as "a 30-round 9mm clip for a G19" ... simply put, anyone knowledgeable about firearms will tell you that a magazine and clip are not synonymous. And a true Glock expert will tell you that the extended 9mm magazine holds 33 rounds, or 31 with the extension removed. While this may be semantics for someone, anyone who is buying this as a reference will need to do the due dilligence the author and editor failed to do.
I liked this book. It made for interesting and relaxing reading. It covers all Glock models that were current at the time of writing. However, there were several inaccuracies that detracted from the reading: Example, reporting energy as "500 feet per pound (678 J)" rather than 500 foot-pounds and referring to the Mini-14 as a Remington instead of Ruger.
