About the Author Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is a two-year regional college serving southeastern Minnesota. Located in Rochester, Minnesota, RCTC enjoys a close relationship with IBM and is a charter member of the AS/400 University as well as an active participant in IBM’s Partners in Education. The college provides curricula that are designed to meet a variety of academic and career-educational opportunities through the award of certificates, diplomas, degrees, and preparation for certification testing. Steve Murray has written about the AS/400 and AS/400 software applications for the past seven years. As a technical writer, Steve has experience with AS/400 development while working at IBM and with medical and business intelligence applications for the AS/400 platform while working at Dynacor and ShowCase—both IBM Business Partners. He currently designs and develops AS/400 curricula for AS/400 certification at Rochester Community and Technical College. Steve holds the title of IBM Certified Specialist as both an AS/400 Associate System Operator and an AS/400 Professional System Operator.
